Abstract

Indicator systems are tools that seek to provide comprehensive, relevant, measurable, reliable, and timely information on issues of interest to different users. In that sense, Sociodemographic Statistics Subdireccion of the General Directorate of Statistics and Censuses of the Buenos Aires City Government designed and implemented, in recent years, a set of systems that address different social phenomena, allowing the analysis of trends and disparities within the City. ese systems require the development of conceptual frameworks, the availability and access to data, and the interrelationship with different social and governmental actors as both producers and users of such information. is report deals with its background, international agendas and their importance and contributions to public policies.
